Q: Where can I store my photo for free?
A: The best place to store your photo for free is at the Bravenet Photo Center. It is free to join and there are many other free web services for you to enjoy. CLICK HERE to go to The Bravenet Photo Center.

Q: How many times can I vote for a photo per day?
A: You are allowed to vote once-per-photo-per-day. You can vote on as many photos as you like but only once for each individual picture, each day. Multiple votes will not be counted.

Q: How come my picture does not show up right away?
A: All of our photo submissions are subject to approval before going live on the site. Photos are usually approved within 24 hours of your submission. Once the photo has been approved, visitors will be able to view and vote on it.

Q: I have my picture on my computer, can I send it from there?
A: Your photo must be on a server connected to the web before you can add it to TheHotmeter.com. Your image must have a permanent URL on the web or it cannot be loaded into our pages for visitors to view and rate. If you need to find free web space to store your images on, try some of the free web hosts like Geocities.com or some of the free Photo Album sites.

Make sure that whichever host you decide to use allows for the remote loading of image files (many free web hosts do not).

Q: How do I get my username and password if I forget them?
A: That is easy, just click on the Lost Password link here or on the main menu. You will be emailed your Username and Password to the email address you registered your account with.

Q: How do I contact the people in the photos?
A: You cannot. At least, not through our service. If you recognize a friend and want to email them, by all means feel free, but we do not provide contact information for any member to other members or visitors.

Q: I am a Member, how do I edit or remove my photo?
A: As a Member you can login to your account and edit your photo information or remove the photo altogether, there.

Q: I am not a Member, how do I remove my photo?
A: Only Members can remove their own photos, however if you feel a photograph appears on this site in violation of your copyright, you can use the reporting link under each photo to let us know of the problem. You can also email us but we will not know which photo you are referring to unless you use the special link.

Q: How do I report a problem to you?
A: You can contact us via the Support Center Make sure you fill out the form in full and provide as much detail about the problem as possible. We welcome your suggestions and comments.

Q: I do not get it, can you put my picture up for me?
A: No, we do not put photos on the web for visitors or members.

Q: Can I put up any picture I like?
A: You can put up any photo of yourself that you own the copyright to. You must be 18 years or older, There can not be any nudity, violence or children showing. You cannot have an e-mail address or a url on your photo. Your photo cannot be wider than 550 pixels. There must be only one person showing in your photo.
